Seget Donji is the largest settlement in the municipality of Seget. It is located two kilometres west of the UNSECO city of Trogir and has a long tourist tradition. The population is engaged in agriculture and fishing thanks to the mild climate.

The settlement of Seget Donji was founded in 1564 when the Trogir nobleman Jakov Rotondo received permission to build a tower. Later, a settlement would be formed around this tower, fortified by a defensive wall and four towers due to the Turkish threat. Three longitudinal and two transverse streets paved with stone led through the castle.
